Private Billing Fees at Jupiter Health Treeby – All Fee’s Are At The Doctors Discretion
We are a Mixed Billing Practice, which means some appointments may have a fee.
We only bulk bill certain patients at the doctors discretion. If you’re unsure, please ask our reception team.

We do not accept AMEX.
Billing & Appointment Fee Policy
By booking an appointment with a GP at our practice, you acknowledge and agree to our billing policies. All billing is at the discretion of the consulting doctor.
You understand that not all consultations are bulk billed and that fees may apply depending on the doctor, appointment type, and services provided. If the doctor advises that a fee applies to your consultation, you agree to be personally liable for payment of the appointment fee at the time of service.
Medicare rebates, where applicable, will be processed according to Medicare guidelines. Any gap or private fees remain the responsibility of the patient.
Full payment will be required on the day of your appointment and our staff will process your Medicare rebate for you.

Did Not Attend (DNA) & Cancellation Policy
Patients are required to provide a minimum of 2 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Failure to provide adequate notice, or failure to attend an appointment, results in a Did Not Attend (DNA) fee being charged.
Please contact the surgery prior to your appointment if you are unable to attend, failing to do this or not attending your appointment will result in a charge of $60.00 per standard appointment or $100.00 for a long consult.
To protect patient privacy and comply with confidentiality requirements, appointment can only be cancelled by the patient themselves unless the practice has documented third-party consent authorising another person to act on the patients behalf.
For children under the age of 14 years, a parent or legal guardian may cancel or reschedule appointments on the child’s behalf.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact the practice as soon as possible to avoid any applicable fees.

Important Information About Medicare Changes and Our Billing
Recent changes to Medicare incentives have prompted questions about bulk billing. While these changes encourage bulk billing in some settings, our practice will not be transitioning to bulk billing only appointments.
The Medicare rebate does not fully cover the cost of providing high quality, comprehensive medical care. Many of our patients require longer consultations, complex care, and continuity with their GP, which cannot be sustainably delivered under a bulk billing only model.
Not all consultations and services are eligible for the new Medicare incentives, and adopting a bulk billing only approach would limit the care we are able to provide.
By continuing with a mixed billing model, we can:

Support patients with complex and chronic health needs

Ensure the long-term sustainability of our practice
Medicare rebates remain available for eligible services. Our reception team is happy to discuss fees and rebates with you at any time.

Who Is Bulk Billed?
You may be bulk billed if you are:

Having a Chronic Disease Care Plan

A Concession Card or Health Care Card Holder
Consult Fees – Weekdays ONLY
Fees vary depending on the doctor and type of consultation.
If you have a valid Medicare card, you will receive a Medicare rebate.
A Standard Appointment (10mins) is $89.00 and you will receive $45.05 back from Medicare
An Extended Consult (15mins) is $110.00 and you will receive $45.05 back from Medicare
A Long Appointment (20mins) is $154.00 and you will receive $87.10 back from Medicare
